In GT, Dave Brown took the win in the Hawk/Competition Clutch Chevrolet Camaro while Daniel Akhromstev’s Red Star Racing BMW M3 finished second. Felipe Loza’s Pepster Chevrolet Camaro finished third.

Michael Whelden qualified on pole in the TC class at the USTCC round five at Sonoma Raceway in September in his Life’s Good Racing/Hawk Mitsubishi Lancer, but a huge crash between his car and a spinning GT car in front of him at Turn 1 in the first lap looked like bad news until he was informed that he was the race winner.

The crash was so severe that it took more than 30 minutes for the NASA safety crew to clean up the mess, and since the race was at the end of the day, there was no time to continue, so officials were forced to award finishing positions according to the starting grid. Second place went to Patrick Chio’s Speed SF Nissan 350Z while Rod Rojas took the third place position driving the GoGoGear.com/UTI/Konig Wheels Hyundai Genesis Coupe.
