For the June 2025 NASA Racing Gear Store Move of the Month contest, the prize goes to NASA Rocky Mountain’s Vaughan Weber, who won with 257 views. Coming in second was NASA Northeast’s David DeJesus, followed NASA Great Lakes TT5 driver John Turner and then NASA Arizona’s Tyler Hinz.
It often has been said here on the pages of Speed News what a great track High Plains Raceway is. Well, Vaughan Weber showed how great the racing can be at High Plains and how challenging and fun the track layout is.
Teen Mazda Challenge driver Vaughan Weber is in the camera car giving 2024 NASA National Championship Dan Williams a lot of competition in classic Spec Miata battle of NB 1.8 car versus NA 1.6 car. They are two-wide in so many places in a contest of who can brake the lightest.
It’s also a contest of youth and enthusiasm versus age and treachery, Williams being the elder of the two drivers. Both drivers are giving their all and it’s great fun to see such tight competition on the challenging layout of High Plains Raceway.
