It looks to be a busy season for the Porsche Boxsters in Texas for 2013. The Spec986 group is very pleased and excited to have the opportunity to launch into another season with NASA, which began in January at Motorsports Ranch Houston.

Motorsports Ranch Houston is a quiet race track location packed with lots of turns and quick straights, perfect for drivers of a momentum car like a 986. The group was fortunate enough to start the year with double the entries for the first 2013 race compared to the debut Houston race last year! For the January event, Charley Lacy made his debut NASA race, driving all the way down from Dallas and Kristi Schmidt coming in from Katy, Texas.

One of the many highlights of the weekend was getting to know other NASA drivers in a variety of makes and models of race cars and having the opportunity to share with other racers what makes Spec986 such a unique and exciting car to drive. The class is growing rapidly in the Texas Region and the plan to see more and more drivers at NASA events moving forward due to fun drivers, lots of camaraderie and tons of talent.
