Team Palomar Racing had some pretty lofty goals for a dream season at the beginning of 2022, and the 25 Hours of Thunderhill Presented by Hawk Performance will be the last challenge on the team’s 2022 calendar.

For example, the team set out to win the E2 class championship in the NASA Western Endurance Racing Championship series, and it did that by taking the victory in five of the six events this season, including the 6.5-hour Seaside Cup at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in September.

Team Palomar Racing also secured the Super Touring 5 regional points championship in the NASA SoCal Region and took the ST5 National Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. All that’s left is the 25 Hours of Thunderhill Presented by Hawk Performance, the most difficult race of them all.

“We’ve accomplished our goals in the sprint and endurance championship side, with this race as our last and most substantial test of team and machine,” said lead driver Matt Million. “I’ll be splitting time in both No. 24 and No. 25 BMW E36s as we bid for the E2 win. We’ve got an utterly fantastic driver team and well-adapted crew to put on a tidy performance.”

The Team Palomar Racing No. 25 BMW E36 will contest E2 in the NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill piloted by Matt Million, Nick Romano, Ryan Bittner, Ryan Keeley, and Andrew Gardner. Primary program drivers Nik and Matt also will be driving the team’s No. 24 car to help ensure consistency, quality feedback and good results for the team. A 1-2 finish in class would ice the cake for Team Palomar Racing’s 2022 dream season.

The 2022 25 Hours of Thunderhill Presented by Hawk Performance takes place Dec. 3-4. It begins at 11 a.m. Saturday morning and ends at noon the following day.
