NASA partnered with Hotel Engine beginning in 2024. Since the inception of that program, the company has expanded its platform, added new capabilities, and rebranded as Engine.
Engine now works with every major hotel chain, airline and rental car provider. NASA members can save up to 60 percent on hotel stays, with average savings around 26 percent, while booking hotels, flights, and rental cars through the same platform.
The cool thing is that NASA members can integrate their existing hotel, airline, and car rental loyalty programs to continue earning points and status. What’s more, NASA members automatically receive Platinum status with Engine, allowing them to “double-dip” by earning 4 percent back in Engine Rewards while still earning loyalty points with their favorite travel brands. Engine Rewards can then be redeemed toward future travel.
“The main focus of this is a perk to NASA members. Another great network effect that comes from this partnership is those folks who are business owners can sign up for business accounts with Engine and then use those with their businesses,” said Kyle Cronk, Partnerships Manager for Engine. “If you like this as a member, this could make sense for your own business.”
Engine has partnered with more than 800,000 properties internationally, so NASA members can book travel to almost anywhere around the world. The savings from Engine alone can help NASA members recoup the cost of their NASA membership several times over throughout the year.
“Once they have an account, it’s applicable to any travel that the members have outside of direct NASA events,” Cronk said. “And I think that’s the biggest differentiator is it not only becomes a tool to travel for the NASA events, but it becomes their travel operating system for however they’d like to use it.”
There’s no cost to use, no contracts and no minimum spend. NASA members can create their account here.
