Nothing is more critical for racing engines than premium lubricants, cooling products and performance fluids. For NASA racing and Time Trial competitors, NASA’s partnership with VP Racing delivers discounts on those critical fluids for podium finishers. When there are five or more starters, first place wins a $75 awards certificate, with second and third place winning $50 and $25, respectively.

For NASA instructors, awards certificates are based on the number of days of instruction. Certificate values are $100 for three days of instruction, $150 for five days and $200 for seven days of instruction.

Simply log into your NASA account to register for and to access your exclusive VP Racing contingency program.

Naturally, there are decal requirements. Time Trial and racing drivers participating in the VP Racing contingency program must display a VP Racing decal on each side of the car, and may not display decals from competing fuel, lubricant or coolant brands.

There have been some other changes to the program. For 2026, there is now no minimum spend to redeem your award, but the awards now come with an expiration date. Awards may not be stacked, and may be used one time only.

The program includes all instructors, and NASA racing and Time Trial classes. For more information, visit the VP Contingencies page.
