A NASA driving instructor wearing a BMW M hat and sunglasses talks to a student driver inside a car at a track event.

As a NASA member, you are part of the only sanctioning body that offers a contingency reward program for HPDE drivers and instructors. No other organization provides such a benefit for its drivers and instructors.

The program includes Summit Racing, and the program for 2026 is now live.

Here’s how it works. NASA instructors will be rewarded with $50 in Summit Bucks at five, 10 and 15 days of instruction. Summit Bucks are good toward the purchase of any merchandise on the Summit Racing Equipment website, and you can save your bucks all year long. It is a way for NASA to reward its instructors for teaching and passing along the joy of high performance driving.

When you log in to your NASA account, click the “Contingencies” drop-down menu and scroll down to “Participation Based Awards.” Your rewards will appear on that page when you have accumulated enough days of driving or instruction.

For HPDE drivers, the program rewards you with $50 in Summit Bucks for your first two days of participation. Toyo Tires and Hawk Performance also are part of the HPDE Rewards program.

You can find the details for all contingency programs and HPDE Rewards on the NASA contingency programs page.
