NASA’s contingency programs are the finest in amateur racing, and for 2026, Maxxis has made its program significantly more convenient. The entire registration and claiming process has been moved into your NASA member profile on DriveNASA.com.
If you have claimed Maxxis contingency tires in the past, you know the drill: fill out a form for every race day, re-enter your information, upload photos each time. That’s all gone now. For 2026, you register once at the beginning of the year, upload pictures of your car showing proper decal placement along with proof of purchase, and you’re done. When it’s time to claim, your eligible events are already there waiting for you. Just enter your finishing position, number of starters, and a link to the official results. You can track your award status right in your profile, and once approved, your tires are shipped directly to you by Maxxis.
There’s also good news for drivers who race in multiple classes. If you run Spec E30 and also compete in open tire classes like Time Trial or Super Touring, you can now claim awards for both on the same weekend. Spec E30 tires don’t count against your eight-tire seasonal limit.
The award structure remains the same: first place wins two free tires, and second through fourth place finishers each earn one tire when there are five or more starters. The program covers Spec E30, which requires the Maxxis RC-1, along with American Iron Extreme, Endurance Racing, German Touring Series, Super Touring, Time Trial and TREC.
NASA members also receive 10 percent off select Maxxis tires including the VR-1, VR-2, RC-1, and R19. The discount code can be found on the NASA Member Benefits page. Tires are also available through AIM Tires and Phil’s Tire Service.
To get started, register for the Maxxis contingency program in your NASA profile. Full program details and rules are available at drivenasa.com/contingency-programs/maxxis/.
