NASA SoCal’s Max Logemann pass in the A-Section at Buttonwillow got the most views, which earns him a $100 gift certificate to the NASA Racing Gear Store!

There is a little-used segment of Buttonwillow Raceway call the “A Section,” which is not part of any of the numbered configurations on the track. NASA SoCal does not use it much, and sometimes it uses the “Off Ramp” section on a Saturday and opens the “A Section” for Sunday’s racing.

Though it’s not familiar to most NASA SoCal drivers, it still can be a handy place to pass. In earning the top prize for February in the NASA Racing Gear Store Move of the Month,  Super Touring 3 driver Max Logemann found out just how handy it could be.

After losing a spot at the start, Logemann sized up his opponent and waited to make his move, as it happens in the A Section. The BMW runs a little wide at the first apex, then Logemann dives to the inside and takes the second apex for himself and goes back to gas. See the opening, make the pass. Textbook.

Congratulations to Max Logemann for the win!
