After nearly 20 years of hosting the 25 Hours of Thunderhill Presented by Hawk Performance the first weekend of December, and even longer as 12- and six-hour events, NASA NorCal has announced it is moving the event to November. The 2023 event will take place Nov. 11-12.

“The holiday season is a busy time for everyone, and we recognized that hosting the event in early December might not be optimal,” said NASA Executive Chairman Jerry Kunzman. “Attendance has suffered since the COVID lockdowns, so we wanted to breathe new life into the event. Moving it to a date before the holiday season is in full swing seemed like good way to do that, and we’re looking forward to welcoming back many of the fantastic race teams we’ve seen in years past. The added benefit is that we should have better weather, but the race will be just as big a challenge as ever.”

Teams from across the globe have come to race “The 25.” Racing ambassadors from as far away as Japan, New Zealand, the Netherlands and the U.K. have come to Willows, Calif., to be part of the event. The race has attracted so many pro drivers and teams, it has become something of a pro-am event.

It also has welcomed a number of factory and factory-associated teams over the years, including Mazda, Honda, Toyota and Ford.

Mark your calendars for Nov. 11-12, 2023. You know you want to run this race. We’ll see you at Thunderhill!
