Sometimes you have to lie in wait to get the right opportunity to make a pass, which is exactly what Kevin Milholin did in this installment of the NASA Racing Gear Store Move of the Month.
Milholin had DNF’d in a previous race and had to start from the rear of the field. As he worked his way forward, he trailed the Super Touring 3 BMW for a lap or two. When he saw the left front wheel lock up, he made his move to the inside. That was the pass he needed to make to get behind P2 so he could compete with him for P2 for the last lap of the race.
“All of that happened on the last two laps of the race,” Milholin said. “So I passed the ST3 BMW and then that was turn 15 out of 17. So I’m very close to Start/Finish. The next time around was the white flag and after that was when I got Matt on the last corner and basically drag raced him down to start finish. I think I got him by 0.2 seconds.”
