In downtown Austin, Texas, there’s a statue of legendary blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughn, whose version of the blues classic “Texas Flood,” couldn’t have been more appropriate in describing the conditions during the NP01 qualifying race at Circuit of the Americas during the 2018 NASA Championships Presented by Toyo Tires.

Driver Jeremy Croiset went out on the appropriate Toyo RA1 rain tires and proceeded to wend his way through traffic in one of the hardest rains ever to fall at a NASA Championships event. From the moment the pace car pulls off till the completion of the race, Croiset has his hands full just keeping it pointed straight. Enjoy the first full lap.
