Sometimes you don’t get the start you want. That can happen in racing. In this installment of the NASA Racing Gear Store Move of the Month, NASA Texas Spec E46 racer Audrey Wiseman appears a bit bemused as to why the field is surging ahead of the wave of the green flag, but the cushion comes in handy when a couple of cars spin ahead of her in Turn 1. With a wide turn-in spot and lots of grip left over, Wiseman darts to the inside to avoid an ST5 car and a spinning Spec E46.

Her path through the grass saved her car and her race, and Wiseman went on to finish third in that race, and put in a fast lap quicker than everyone except for race winner Dave Finkelstein. At this event, the last of the NASA Texas season, Wiseman finished fifth in season points, just behind Spec E46 National Series director Jason Rikke.

Despite the manner in which it began, the race and the season ended pretty well for Wiseman, and the 2026 NASA Texas season begins January 30.
