Predicting the future is nearly impossible, and it’s no easier to predict where a spinning car is going to go. You have a fraction of a second to make a decision and then to react.

NASA Northeast GTS2 driver Brian Jacon gives us some great footage of GTS3 driver Scott Bassinder go to the grass to avoid a car spinning ahead of him in Big Bend at Lime Rock Park in July.

“Well, I was right behind [Leo Zick] the whole race. Actually, we were in fourth and fifth place and Michael Barry spun in Big Bend,” Bassinder said. “Leo got by him and I had to go to the grass. He missed me by like a foot. He came straight across the track there.”

We’re glad everyone got through there unscathed.
