For this month’s Move of the Month award, all it took for Matthew Ibrahim was a lot of shucking and jiving, a little contact, some sideways action, and a little rubbing with legendary photographer Larry Chen in the 7-Eleven car,  which earns Ibrahim a $100 gift certificate to the NASA Racing Gear Store.

We have never run a NASA Racing Gear Store Move of the Month that used a 360 camera hanging off the tail end of a car, but this one showcases a spirited battle between NASA SoCal drivers Matthew Ibrahim and Larry Chen, whose Spec E30s traded a bit of paint, er, wrap, at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway in February.

Ibrahim in the camera car is chasing Larry Chen in his 7-Eleven-themed E30. The two go at it all race long. Ibrahim hits the highlights by speeding up the footage to capture the close racing between himself and Chen.

Ibrahim, who finished second in Spec E30 at the 2024 NASA Championships, is able to get a nose in here and there, but doesn’t make the pass till the last few moments of the video, when he carries a bucket full of entry speed into Turn 1 and the two trade a bit of vinyl again.

The two were able to shake hands after the race and lived to race another day. Congratulations to Matthew Ibrahim for the win!
