Sure, there was lots of action on track. There is every year. But this year’s National Championships had lots of activity everywhere, from kart races in the rain Friday night compliments of Toyo Tires to the usual camaraderie in impound, banged up cars, mechanics sleeping under cars and scrutineering in tech. NASA racers also could find many reminders of Larry Miller, who built this motorsports facility and his son Roger, who until he recently passed away, ran Miller Motorsports Park.
