This NASA SoCal June racing events in Super Touring at Buttonwillow Raceway showcased intense competition across various classes, with participants pushing their vehicles to the limits on Saturday and Sunday.

In Super Touring 2, No. 88 Team Bittneracing led the class with a fastest lap of 1:52.953 on the eighth lap in its Strom Motorsports-built B-46. Greg Laube followed in second place in his black Audi RS3 LMS, sponsored by Speed One Motorsports, 17.178 seconds behind the leader. Vic Pizzino was third in his blue/red BMW E46, with Redline Mechanical-Strom Motorsports as his sponsor, trailing by 20.754 seconds.

In Super Touring 3, the gray No. 44 Ford Mustang GT of Team Land Yacht Racing claimed victory in Super Touring 3, setting a top lap time of 1:58.254. Herve Bezard, sponsored by Ralph’s Tire Pros/ Boulder City/ Nevada, was second in a silver BMW M3, trailing 18.999 seconds behind. Kevin Dotzler completed the podium in his silver Chevrolet Corvette.

Super Touring 5, In Super Touring 4, No. 99 Alex Tan led in a white Mazda Miata. The class saw close finishes, with Daryk Arden and Eirik Holm placing second and third respectively.

In Super Unlimited, the racing was intensely competitive. Team Legacy Motorworks PJ topped the charts in a white/green Rush SR1 with a best time of 1:56.791. Michael Schneider was a close second in his white/red Rush SR, just 0.217 seconds behind, sponsored by Fresno Powersports / LiquiMoly.

This weekend’s races not only highlighted the technical prowess of the drivers but also the capabilities of their vehicles, managing to maintain high performance under competitive stress.
