Charles Buzzetti claimed victory in the 944 Spec class on Saturday, driving his black and blue Porsche 924s sponsored by Precision Polishing. Buzzetti recorded the fastest lap time of 1:36.218 on lap 15. Gian Bowles, driving a purple and orange Porsche 944, finished in second place with a time difference of 5.690 seconds. Bowles’ best lap was 1:36.828 on lap 17. Josh Cleye took third place in his green Porsche 944, trailing by 5.942 seconds and clocking his fastest lap at 1:36.800, also on lap 17.

Sunday saw a shake-up in the NASA SoCal 944 Spec class standings. Josh Cleye emerged victorious in his green Porsche 944, completing his fastest lap at 1:35.774 on lap 12.

What a results page could never show is the red flag condition that was prompted by a 944 Spec car that went off at Turn 1 and got high-centered while trying to get back to the racing surface, and started a grass fire. The red flags turned to black and the delay gave way to a green-white-checkers finish and an frantic final lap.

Charles Buzzetti, who had won on Saturday, finished a close second in his Porsche 924s, just 0.044 seconds behind Cleye, with his best lap at 1:35.669 on lap 13. Gian Bowles secured third place again, clocking in 0.976 seconds behind Buzzetti and recording his fastest lap at 1:36.046 on lap four.
