Fog has suspended racing action at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill Presented by Hawk Performance as a thick blanket of mist hovered over Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, Calif.

Racing was stopped at 6:15 pm and the cars were parked at the Start/Finish line as NASA officials determine when the race can be restarted. Forecast calls for fog throughout most of the evening into the night.

It was shortly after the course worker changes at 6 p.m. during the 25 Hours of Thunderhill when a heavy fog rolled in over the foothills. Course workers were taken off the track until the race can resume.

NASA officials said the race is on a hold until the fog clears. If the race is postponed for more than two hours, race officials will extend the endurance race until 3 p.m. Sunday.
