This SPAL 16-inch fan is highly recommended by Morehead Speed Works for Spec E46 racecars, and it is the model it uses in its team’s cars. It provides added clearance in front of the engine, which makes it easier to maintain and service the M54 engine. It offers better airflow than the stock unit, and is lighter than the stock fan and shroud. It’s also worth noting that SPAL is an OEM supplier of brushless motors. Morehead Speed Works also offers a mounting bracket kit for the SPAL fans. The fan itself sells for $108.99 at time of publication.
