If you are looking to eliminate slop in your BMW’s shifter, the BimmerWorld Race Shifter does away with the flimsy and unreliable stock shift linkage and gives the most direct shifting action of any other race shifter on the market. And it’s priced well for amateur racers on a limited budget.

Originally designed for BimmerWorld’s World Challenge race cars, which used a BMW Motorsport dogbox transmission with a very tight gear pattern that required very precise and positive shift feel. It features a simple and heavy-duty design with no springs or adjustments and is solid mounted for precise shifting and no slop.

Designed to fit the E30, E36, E46, E90, E92, E82, Z3, Z4 and more, the BimmerWorld Solid Race Shifter has lots of applications. Its CNC-machined aluminum base bolts to the factory transmission tunnel, with some drilling required. The shifter uses a high-quality over-sized monoball bearing for smooth and consistent action, a solid stainless steel shift lever, and is designed for the stock selector rod only. Solid engine and transmission mounts are very strongly recommended for use with the BimmerWorld Solid Race Shifter. Retail price at time of publication is $325.
