With more than 43 percent of the votes in the November Yokohama Move of the Month contest, NASA Northeast racer Nicholas Barbato’s patience paid off again as readers pounced on his Move of the Month as the winner of the November contest.
Barbato patiently stalked Frank Millan just ahead in the closing laps of the June 3 race on the Thunderbolt course at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Barbato tried to get around Millan in Turn 1 on the penultimate lap, but Millan made an effective defensive move that prevented the pass. Then, on the last lap, an out-of-class car presented an opportunity and Barbato pounced, making the pass on Millan in one of the last turns on the track before the long sprint down the front straightaway to the Start/Finish line.
Also from NASA Northeast, Eric Magnussen’s video came in second, with NASA Rocky Mountain’s Jake Latham in third and NASA Florida’s Bruce Dally in fourth.
NASA National partner Yokohama Tire is sponsoring the Yokohama Move of the Month by providing handsome wall plaques to each month’s winner. Shumway is the October winner, but be sure to watch for the next candidates starting in this issue of Speed News. We’ll publish the next contest the first week in December.

Can I submit a move I made on a really cute bar maid?
Thanks Brett and the #DriveNASA team!! đŸ™‚
