As part of a continuing program put together by NASA and Toyota, every customer who buys a new 2020 or 2021 Toyota GR Supra will automatically receive a complimentary one-year NASA membership and one complimentary track day in NASA’s High Performance Driving Event program. NASA HPDE instructors can help those GR Supra owners get the most out of their cars. If owners want more track time that weekend, they can sign up for a second day at 50 percent off the usual rate.

The 2020 GR Supra won praise for its ride/handling balance, but even the exceptional can be improved. Seeking increased roll resistance and enhanced cornering stability, Toyota retuned the Supra 3.0 chassis, adding lightweight aluminum braces that tie the strut towers to the radiator support to increase lateral rigidity. The greatly revised engine produces more torque at higher rpm and retains the eagerness to rev with turbine-like smoothness.

The Toyota Supra paced the 25 Hours of Thunderhill in 2019 in support of a program that gives every new Supra owner a complimentary day of HPDE and one-year NASA membership.

“It was great to work with Toyota in putting this program together last year, and we’re thrilled to partner with Toyota again this year for the 2021 models,” said NASA Vice President Jeremy Croiset. “The Supra is a legendary nameplate with a long history in street and track performance. This partnership will give GR Supra owners the ability to fully enjoy the car’s performance and handling in a controlled environment.”

  1. Thanks for checking in. Toyota pays for the NASA membership and the day of HPDE for buyers of new Toyota GR models. The program does not include buyers of used cars. However, if you are interested in getting your Supra on track, we’d love to have you out for a day of HPDE. All you need to do is join NASA and find an event near you. We hope you’ll join us.
