NASA Southeast has some of the best Thunder Roadster racing in the country, and this video is a perfect example. Ralph Nolan qualified on pole, but he lost oil pressure before qualifying was over and pulled off track. Focused on fixing the problem, Nolan was working on his car during the drivers meeting and was disqualified for not attending, which relegated him to start from last in the 12-car field. At the green, Nolan sprinted from last to third on the first lap, worked his way into the lead four laps later, and went on to win.
