In this installment of the NASA Racing Gear Store Move of the Month, NASA Texas Honda Challenge racer Ian Carrillo, picks up a spot on the start and the field seems to be stretching out as per usual. That is until a couple of Spec E46 cars ahead of him get tangled up and Carrillo has to take his car off track to get out of the way. When he does that, he loses a spot to competitor Patrick Brunson in the white Acura RSX. At that point, Carrillo put his head down and got back on the Brunson’s bumper, and was able to get by him.
“I saw the black E46 going for a low-percentage move, so I was prepared to make an evasive maneuver, and probably made too much of a move to avoid the spun car, which let Patrick Brunson in the RSX slip by,” Carrillo said. “I spent the rest of the race chasing him until I was able to make a move on him.”
