Not all moves of the month are positive. After a first-place finish in TTU on Saturday, NASA Southeast member, Mark West had a tough Sunday in his Nissan GT-R at Carolina Motorsports Park. During the first lap under green, he took the “kink” at the same speed as he had the day before, but his tires weren’t up to temperature. As you can see, he tracked out onto the dirt and overcorrected, which whipped him back across the track and onto wet grass. At that point he was just along for the ride. After the crash, West converted the GT-R to a full-blown racecar and has been racing it in Thunder classes in NASA Southeast, so maybe something positive did come of it.
