This is the kind of start NASA Southeast Spec Miata racer Jerry Griffin is going to remember and cherish for a long time. With a mist falling on a wet track, the field tightens up on the front straight waiting for the green flag. For this week’s Yokohama Move of the Month, Griffin times his start just right and picks up five spots on the inside line while never leaving the racing surface, because, you know, that’s illegal. He loses a spot to Keith Williamson before Turn 3, but he chases him down and gets him back about 12 minutes into the race. Williamson gets back around him ultimately, but it’s an entertaining rain race.
