NASA Southeast racer and Spec E30 Champion Sandro Espinosa qualified sixth on grid for the Oct. 4, 2014, race at Virginia International Raceway. It wasn’t necessarily where he would have liked to start the race, but the position gave him, and his onboard camera a front-row seat to watch fellow NASA Southeast racer Ryan Whitinger’s genuinely good save at the South Bend turn. Naturally, Espinosa use his competitor’s mistake as an opportunity to pass on the inside.
