Mixed-class racing is something every NASA racer faces every time we head out on track. Competing among those in your own class while dealing with out-of-class traffic is a skill we must develop as part of our race craft. In this video, NASA SoCal Honda Challenge racer Carlos Valencia mixes it up with competitor Keith Kramer then threads the needle through some 944 Spec traffic at Willow Springs International Raceway in May. He sent us video from the front- and rear-facing cameras, which is always double the fun. Enjoy.

  1. You may want to add a bit more wing. The rear is really dancing in the fast stuff like turn 2. Of course it’ll come at the expense of extra drag and straight line. Maybe soften the rear a bit or add a little toe in.
