This week’s move is a case study in mixed-class racing. NASA Southeast ST4 racer Burak Ozgunay takes the green flag at Daytona last October from pole position. He catches up with the Thunder Roadsters on the banking where they run out of steam, and they can get the better of him on the infield where smaller and lighter pays off. When the field shakes out, Ozgunay gets the room he needs to stretch the legs of his BMW E46 M3 and sets the ST4 lap record on his seventh hot lap.
