The 944 Spec race at the 2022 NASA Championships was notable because of the rain that fell, two caution periods and faster out-of-class Spec E46 traffic. NASA SoCal 944 Spec driver Ty Gi was right in the middle of all of that, and his last lap at the NASA Championships was a bit of a lesson in survival. He avoids a spinning Spec E46 car and takes the long way through the gravel on the exit of Turn 11 on his way to the checkered flag — all of which was done without windshield wipers.
