Turn 6 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca is tricky, made even more so because it’s fast, and made even more so because it’s blind. Going off there can result in a spin, getting stuck in the gravel or hitting the tire wall. For this week’s Yokohama Move of the Month, the 2022 NASA Championships at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, NASA NorCal ST4 driver Connor Lydon had a decent off at Turn 6, but kept it pointed straight and got it back on track safely. He signaled to the cars behind him that he saw them and continued on his way. Lydon went on to finish ninth at the 2022 Championships.

  1. Some serious offroading there!!! Two great countersteer saves.
He realized after the first save that he needed to keep some throttle in to have some weight transfer back there and stabilize the rear.
The mistake……….committed to full throttle right after turn in and way too far before the apex. Granted this car doesn’t have that much power and it’s a faster turn, but have to be more patient and roll into it. It went off by a lot. Probably could have gotten away with full power right before the apex.
