NASA Rocky Mountain racer Graeme Davies got the jump on Greg Vanucci at the start at High Plains Raceway, which ended up making Turn 1 a bit dicey when Vanucci locked up his front wheels in the braking zone. Davies saw the tire smoke in his mirrors, delayed his turn-in to avoid contact, and ran out into the marbles. There was no contact, but it was only a matter of inches.

The green was thrown early. but you have to be ready to go as you come out of the last turn,I was, he wasn’t.
