If you know NASA SoCal Spec E30 racer Neil Daly, you know there’s no greater sportsman in the paddock. If you don’t know him, well, now you know a little more. After hounding Spec E30 competitor Bailey Woods and putting a pass on him at the entry to Willow Springs’ speedy Turn 1 in May, Daly is quick to give a thankful wave to Woods for his cooperation. The trouble is he does it before he’s finished negotiating the turn, and he winds up off track trying to bring his car to a halt in the rocks and dirt before Turn 2. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy, but he was able to rejoin the race and finish ninth out of 16 cars.

10/10 ice skating out there to bring it under control, and he rejoined safety first despite dropping a ton of probably very hard-fought positions. Clearly a pro.
Loved the hand signals.
