Spec E30 in the Southeast and Florida regions is action packed — always — and the field includes national champions and several other nationally competitive drivers. The operative word there is “competitive.”
So, on the penultimate lap at Sebring International Raceway, the five cars running up front weren’t giving an inch, and as they went four wide into Turn 17, there was some contact, a bit of drama, no carnage, but not one of them gave in, and they all returned to full throttle as soon as they could gather up their cars. The camera car is driven by Carlos Mendez, which gives a great perspective to No. 71 Corey Smith, No. 100 Scott McKay, No. 32 Sandro Espinosa and No. 73 Chris Allen, who came out on top.
