Here’s an older clip, but it’s a good showcase of awareness and, at least in some measure, comedy. On the back straightaway at Virginia International Raceway, driver Evan Levine gets a point-by from the No. 085 car only to have that same car attempt a pass into turns 13 and 14. Levine appears to adjust as the driver ahead of him wiggles a bit under braking, and the No. 085 car sees the gap close up. He takes to the grass and gets a bit out of shape. The 085 car was DQ’d and both other cars escaped unscathed.
