Chasing the No. 1 and 2 cars at Auto Club Speedway way back in 2019, NASA SoCal Spec Miata racer Blake Minasian dives into the turn 5/6 “carousel” hard, loses track mid corner and does a magnificent drift to save the car and keep it pointing forward. He saved the car, but lost a spot and went on to finish just off the podium, but we get to enjoy watching some nice wheel work.
