Restarts can be hectic and this one from VIR during HyperFest gave the fans in attendance some excitement to watch at the end of the race. Mark Issa took the green flag with just a few laps to go, and clouds of red clay dust — and maybe a bit of red mist — flew. There was some argy-bargy in the lower Esses and then a bit more at the entrance to the Oak Tree turn. Look closely and you can see the right door panel on Issa’s car get dented just as he makes a great save before heading down the back straight. Once the field settled into a rhythm, Issa made some nice passes on his way to checkers three laps later.
