There’s trouble in the Heartland. Heartland Park in Topeka, Kan., that is. Teen Mazda Challenge driver Ethan Loree had to do a little off-roading just after the start of the Spec Miata race at the NASA Central and Rocky Mountain combined event at Heartland Park in May. Another Teen Mazda Challenge driver Zane Dexter got a bit crossed up after some contact going into Turn 3. As another Teen Challenge driver Natalie Fenaroli T-boned Dexter, Loree wisely avoided the melee and took it into the grass. Loree went on to score two third-place finishes that weekend.
