Normal people think Memorial Day kicks off the summer. Car freaks know better: It’s HyperFest, “the automotive amusement park,” that marks the start of summer each May at Virginia International Raceway. By the time you read this the 17th annual HyperFest will have taken place, complete with Grassroots Motorsports Ultimate Track Car Challenge, racing, rallies, car shows, music and everything that goes into the biggest car party in the land.
